In September 2022, I took a trip to Mauritius. It was a beautiful experience, one that left a mark on my heart that I will not forget in a hurry, and I’d like to share the most exciting activities and must-visit places.

Odysseo Oceanarium: My first stop was the Odysseo Oceanarium, a magical underwater world that offers a glimpse into the colorful marine life of the Indian Ocean. The guided tour takes approximately an hour, during which you can marvel at various sea creatures and vibrant fish. It’s an underwater spectacle you won’t want to miss.

Port Louis: No visit to Mauritius is complete without exploring the vibrant capital city, Port Louis. The city center is a hub of activity, offering picturesque landscapes, delicious cuisine, and refreshing healthy fruit drinks. Explore the markets, where you can find unique souvenirs, and immerse yourself in the local music and dance scene. It’s a place to connect with people and soak in the island’s culture.

Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden: The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden is a perfect place for nature enthusiasts. Here, you can wander among many species of trees and plants, take beautiful photographs, explore the zoo and immerse yourself in the serenity of nature. I highly recommend.

La Vallée des Couleurs: The La Vallée des Couleurs is a nature park that offers an array of activities and breathtaking scenery from go-karting to ziplining and many more. I spent about 2 hours exploring the park, I also got to see the sand dunes with seven colors, its called the Chamarel sands. It’s an unforgettable experience that truly showcases the beauty of Mauritius.

Water Adventures: Mauritius is renowned for its water activities, and I experience most of them, I was lucky to stay in a hotel ( click here to see hotels I stayed) that offered free and discounted water activities like Kayaking, parasailing, snorkeling and boat cruises. You should engage in a few water activities when you visit, also wear something nice for pictures.
