<p>Episode 7</p>
<p> ; It was Sunday afternoon, I had just gotten back from church and I was resting, they had a lot of thanksgiving so church lasted longer than it normally would. Just then I heard a knock on the door, I wasn&#8217;t expecting anybody. Kim said she won&#8217;t be back till Monday after work so I was contemplating on getting up or just letting the person knock and go until I heard my name and Kim&#8217;s voice, she didn&#8217;t sound alright so I jumped up and went to open the door. She was wearing a face cap and very dark shades, I helped her with her luggage and goodies she brought from PH but she wasn&#8217;t her lively self at all and I was a bit confused. When she removed the cap and shades, she looked like she had an accident. ;<br />
 ; Kim what happened to you ? I asked her trying to properly look at her face. She screamed when I touched her chin, “it&#8217;s it&#8217;s it&#8217;s nothing,” she replied stammering. What do you mean it&#8217;s nothing? I asked her. You come home with your face like this and tell me it&#8217;s nothing? Please Kim what happened I asked again. “Dodeye please I&#8217;m fine, I just want to rest” she said. Wait! Did Henry do this to you? She bent her face and started crying. Omg Kim he did this to you? He&#8217;s such a beast. Thank God you came back I said hugging her. “Pls don&#8217;t call him a beast, he&#8217;s not. He apologized, see everything he got me yesterday after beating me up” she said pointing to the bag filled with goodies. I looked at her shocked to my teeth, I didn&#8217;t want to push it so I told her we will talk about it later, then I heated water for her to bathe then started preparing spaghetti so we would eat. ;</p>

<p> ;“Guess what?” Alian said as I picked up the call. What? I asked excited even if I knew what he was about to say. “I&#8217;m in Uyo” he answered. Yay!!! I&#8217;ll see you tomorrow after work okay? “Tomorrow? What happened to seeing me immediately I arrive? You promised” he said with a baby&#8217;s voice. I&#8217;m sorry, Kim is in a really bad place right now, I can&#8217;t leave her. “Thought she&#8217;s not due back until tomorrow? I was hoping you will come over and leave to work from here”. Really? I said laughing, sorry I&#8217;ll see you tomorrow okay? “Okay I&#8217;ll wait”, he replied.. ;</p>
<p> ;Bubu kitty I said tickling Kim when I realized she had woken up from sleep, I had been distracting myself with my phone the whole time, waiting for her to wake up, couldn&#8217;t wait to hear the reason why Henry beat her up that bad and also to speak sense into her ears whether she likes it or not. What is it? She said smiling. Why did Henry beat you? I asked her. “Dodeye, it was my fault, I snooped and questioned him about a conversation between him and one Louisa. He hates when I read his chats, I knew it and I&#8230;” Kim! I called her and she stopped talking, it is not okay to be hit by anybody, it&#8217;s not okay for Henry to beat you up, you are not a kid, I don&#8217;t get why you are justifying his actions. I don&#8217;t get it at all Kim I told her. “Dodeye, Henry loves me, he does virtually everything for me, he got me this house, he helped me get my job, he buys me gifts all the time. If I have to keep up with being hit, then I will.” Wow!! I exclaimed, it surprised me that she was okay with being hit. “Dodeye, you haven&#8217;t loved before, if you have then you would understand what I&#8217;m trying to say. Henry loves me and that&#8217;s all that matters”. Maybe I haven&#8217;t loved before but I know love isn&#8217;t violence, love is supposed to be kind and sweet not tough and painful, I told her. “Dodeye I know you are saying all this because you care about me but I know Henry loves me and I love him too, there&#8217;s nothing you can say or do that&#8217;ll make me think or feel differently” she told me and turned her face. You&#8217;ll be fine, I said, picked up my phone and started replying my messages . ;</p>
